前々回に小学校編が終わりましたねー
今回からは中学校での生活について話していきたいと思います ヾ ^_^♪
まず僕の通っていた中学校の紹介をしますね
ボノの通っていた中学校も小学校と同じく田舎にある普通の中学校でした
山のすぐふもとにあり、大きなグラウンドや体育館等もありました
ただ小学校とは大きな違いがありました
それは生徒の数と部活動です
小学校は100人前後だったのに対して中学校では1学年に４クラスありました
学年だけでも１２０人ほどだったので合計すると３６０人ほどの生徒がいました
部活動に関しては大きく分けて運動系と文化系のものが数多くありました。
今回は部活動について話していきたいと思います。
中学入学前にまず悩んだのが部活選びでした
元々体を動かすのは大好きだったので最初から運動部というのは心に決めていました
今まで水泳をしていたのですが中学には水泳部がなかったので何か一つ新しいスポーツを選ぶ必要がありました
どのスポーツも今まで経験したことのなかったモノなのですごく悩みました
色々見学をして悩んだ結果ソフトテニスを選びました
適当に選んだわけではなくしっかりとした理由があって選びました
ソフトテニスというのは２人1組でペアを作ってプレイするスポーツです
なのでペアとの連携などがより大切になる競技です
以前話しましたが、自分はいじめられていたという過去があります
その影響か「誰かと一緒に何かをする」、ということに人一倍価値を感じるといった価値観を持っていました
なのでペアと連携をして点を取るソフトテニスという競技に人一倍魅力を感じて入部を決意しました
そういうと野球やサッカーでもいいように感じるかも知れませんが、それらの競技には興味は湧きませんでした。
その理由は、「多くの人と浅く関わるよりも少なくても良いから深いつきあいをしたい」という思いもあったからです
勿論初めてのことだったので最初は緊張しましたが、自分が決めたことならば頑張ろうと決意をして練習に取り組むことを心に決めました
これが自分がソフトテニス部に入部しようと考えた理由です
実際に入部して練習すると大変なことや嫌なこともありましたが、自分が決めたことだしペアと一緒に試合に勝ったときの快感は何にも代えがたいものだったので3年間継続して続けることが出来ました
自分はこの経験から大切なことを学びました。
それは「何か始めるときに大切なのはそれが自分の性格や価値観に合っているのか、ということが一番大切であり、世間体なんかは二の次だ」と言うことを学びました
この教訓は今でも人生において非常に大切にしている価値観です

Hello everyone! It's me, Bono
I finished my life story in elementary school already.
From this post, I'm gonna write about my life in junior high school ヾ ^_^♪
Let me explain my junior high school briefly first.
The junior high school I used to commute was also in the countryside like my elementary school haha
The school was right by the mountain and had a huge ground and gymnastic hall.
But there were some major differences from elementary school.
They are the number of students and club activities.
As I mentioned before, in my elementary school, there were only around 100 students in the school, but there were approximately 120 students in my grade in junior high school.
About club activities, there were two kinds of clubs in the school, sports and culture.
Today, I will talk about club activities.
Before entering junior high, I considered which club to join so much.
At that point, I was thinking about joining a sports club since I really love to play sports.
I had been to the swimming club by then, but there was no swimming club, so I had to start a new sport.
I haven't experienced any of them, so I got confused.
I visited many clubs and considered a lot.
Later, I decided to join the soft tennis club.
I didn't randomly choose it, I had a reason to choose it.
We play soft tennis as a pair.
Therefore, you need to communicate with your pair well to win.
As I mentioned before, I used to be bullied.
Maybe because of that, I feel doing something with someone else has so much value more than others.
Then I found taking points together as a pair so fascinating and decided to join the club.
Some people may think "If you like to get points with someone else, why didn't you choose baseball or soccer?"
The reason is that I felt having a deep relationship with some people is better than a shallow relationship with many people.
Of course, I felt so nervous because it was my first time to play tennis, but I made up my mind to practice it as hard as possible since I decided to do it.
That's the reason why I joined the soft tennis club.
After I joined the club, I had hard times, of course, but I really loved to win the game with my pair.
Winning the game with a pair gave me special feelings which nothing in this world can replace.
That's why I could keep playing soft tennis for 3 years.
From this experience, I learned one important lesson.
It is "when you start something, what matters the most is the match with your personality and values. How others think about it doesn't matter at all!."
This lesson is still in my heart and has so much to do with my life.
